Our story started several decades ago when an architect was given the opportunity to create golf estate living in South Africa.

He worked with Gary Player, Jack Nicklaus, and others to create some of the country's most exclusive developments over the next thirty years.

While all that was going on, the architect's daughter didn't go into architecture because those were big boots to fill! She studied in various fields including psychology (good for understanding client needs), graphic design (loves working with angles) and eventually real estate where she sold houses off plan for several years (couldn't stay away from building sites). Plus a lifetime of onsite and offsite learning didn't hurt.

Fast forward through moving to New Zealand and a couple of earthquakes and she worked as a commercial real estate agent in Christchurch for six years. Initially it was great because of all the building work going on in Christchurch, so she felt right at home. Fortunately that is no longer the case for Cantabrians and so the hunt for a new adventure began.

With the confidence to take a punt (thanks genetics) and finding the right people to work with, Urban Developments NZ Limited was created. 

Now the architect and daughter are working on creating affordable options for Kiwis with their own dreams.
